This is the category of impact resistant glass that is designed to take various levels of physical attack using different hand-tools or common appliances. It is a measure of resistance against breaking through within a certain number of blows or specific duration in the attempt to do so.

Products to resist other unconventional modes of attack can also be designed for niche applications to meet specific duties. The measure of resistant is when penetration is achieved, with an opening of specific size through the glass panel.

This basic function of an anti-bandit glass is effectively to defer forced entries from the lowest to extreme physical attacks level that is called for, in the protection of properties and personnel in different risk settings. The common applications are for shop windows and fittings, displays of high value items, customer service counters, correctional facilities, financial institutions, museum, household and a host of other purposes where risk of intruders or criminal acts are feasible to be carried out.

Many transport modes and vehicles are now equipped with laminated glass variants replacing tempered glass which is a lower class of safety glass.

With its increased structural strength to whatever necessary level, fresh applications in stairway steps, bridge floorings, giant aquariums, sky panels, etc. became possible to create new living experiences, replacing other forms of traditional materials.

In all cases, product integrity is underpinned by stringent certification tests of its performance standard by external recognized institutions.
